Brand Activation Photo Booths in Miami

The buyer here is a marketer, not a bride. What separates an activation from a rental is the wrap, the output and the data, and this page prices all three.

What a brand activation photo booth costs in Miami

A Brand Activation Booth is $2,500 for four hours. That is the top of our price list, and it is the only product on it that is not really a photo booth rental.

Everything else we rent is a machine that shows up, entertains a room and leaves. An activation is a build. The booth is wrapped in your brand, the output carries your brand, and the reason it is standing there is distribution and data rather than party favors. Different job, different price, because it is different work.

If you are a marketer holding that $2,500 next to a $450 party booth quote, the two numbers are not measuring the same thing. This page breaks down what the gap buys, line by line, so you can decide honestly whether you need an activation or whether a rental with a custom backdrop already does your job.

What separates an activation from a rental

Four things, and if a vendor cannot deliver all four, what you are buying is a rental with a logo on it. That is sometimes the correct call and it is cheaper, so be clear with yourself about which one the brief actually needs.

What you receive afterA gallery of imagesA gallery plus a capture list and a usage report

Price at Motion$399 to $850 depending on the booth$2,500 for 4 hours

Look at the staffing row, because it is not padding. A booth collecting opt ins while a line is moving is two jobs happening at the same time, and one person doing both means either the line slows down or the capture gets sloppy. A second attendant is $150.

The output is the distribution

The point of an activation is that the thing the guest receives leaves the venue and goes somewhere else. So the output is not a souvenir. It is a placement somebody volunteered to publish.

Three pieces control that, and all three are priced on the sheet.

  • A full booth wrap at $250. The hardware itself carries the brand, so the booth reads as part of the build instead of a rental parked at the edge of it. That is the difference between people photographing the activation and people photographing at the activation.
  • A custom printed backdrop at $250. This appears behind every guest in every image, which makes it the highest leverage $250 on the whole sheet.
  • The overlay on the digital output, carrying the marks, the campaign line and the link. This is the piece that actually travels.

Be specific with your vendor about the digital file itself, because this is where activations get quietly downgraded. Ask which aspect ratios come out, whether you receive a clean version without the overlay for your own channels, and who owns the files afterward. An activation that produces a square print and no usable vertical asset has failed at the one job you hired it for.

Data capture is the deliverable

Data capture and reporting is $75. It is the cheapest line on an activation build and it is usually the reason the budget gets approved at all.

In practice it means the guest enters an email or a phone number to receive their photo, and you get that list back. That one step turns a line of people into something your CRM can use, and it is what lets you report on the activation in a form that survives a quarterly review.

Here is what you should receive afterward, and what you should ask any vendor to put in writing before you sign anything.

  1. The full gallery of images and clips, delivered as files rather than a viewer you cannot export from.
  2. The capture list, with the fields you specified and a timestamp on each entry.
  3. Session counts by hour, so you can see when the activation was busy and when it was standing empty.
  4. Share and send counts, meaning how many people actually sent their image somewhere rather than just standing in front of a camera.
  5. Confirmation of how consent was captured, because you are the one who answers for that list later, not the vendor.

Our gallery stays hosted for three years. That is a detail nobody cares about on the night and everybody cares about when a campaign gets revisited, or when somebody in legal asks for the assets eighteen months later.

Throughput, staffing and cost per guest

The activation booth moves 50 to 60 guests per hour. Across the four hours included at $2,500, that is 200 to 240 guest turns.

That is the number a marketer should be working with, not the headline price. At 240 turns, $2,500 is about $10.42 per guest through the booth. At 200 turns it is $12.50. Both figures already include the attendant, the setup and the teardown.

The honest caveat: guest turns are not unique people. Some of the same people come back, particularly at an evening event with a bar in the room. If unique captured emails is your metric, expect that number to land below your turn count, which is precisely why data capture at $75 is worth buying on day one rather than estimating reach from a session total afterward. We published the fuller throughput math on its own page if you want to model a longer window.

What $2,500 buys per guest

$2,500 for four hours at 50 to 60 guests an hour is 200 to 240 turns, or roughly $10.42 to $12.50 per guest through the booth. Add the wrap at $250, the backdrop at $250, data capture at $75 and a second attendant at $150, and a fully built activation lands at $3,225 for four hours, with no travel fee anywhere in Broward, Miami-Dade or Palm Beach.

On staffing, the rule is simple. Run a second attendant on anything with a queue and a capture flow happening at once. One person cannot work the camera, move a line and manage opt ins through a peak. At $150 it is the cheapest insurance on the sheet against a line that stops moving during the busiest hour of the night.

Art Week, Wynwood, conferences and retail openings

Miami Art Week and Art Basel

December in Miami is its own market. Art Week pulls brand activations into Wynwood, the Design District and the beach, and the brief changes completely. The build has to hold up next to actual art, the output has to carry the brand without reading as signage, and the activation has to compete with the thirty other activations your guest walks past that week.

Two practical notes for that week. Availability is the constraint, not price: there is no seasonal premium and no rush fee on our list, but the December dates go first and they go early. And if the build is outdoors or tented, which many Wynwood ones are, plan for shade. Every booth we run works outdoors with shade or a tent.

Wynwood and the Design District the rest of the year

The same neighborhoods run activations all year, usually smaller, often tied to a gallery night, a product drop or a restaurant opening. Same build, shorter window, and the metric is almost always captures rather than impressions.

Conferences and trade shows

Different brief again. Here the activation competes with the rest of the expo floor for a person who is already running a schedule. The booth earns its place by giving an attendee a reason to stop and a reason to hand over an email. If what you actually need is headshots for attendees rather than branded content, the Headshot Booth at $599 for three hours is a better buy, and we compare that against hiring a photographer on a separate page.

Retail openings

Shortest window, widest variance in foot traffic. The activation usually runs inside a fixed opening block, and the value sits almost entirely in the capture list and the local social output. A wrap matters more here than almost anywhere else, because passing foot traffic reads the hardware before it reads any signage you put next to it.

What to ask any activation vendor for

Use this on us as readily as on anyone else. It is short, and the answers come fast from a vendor who has done this before.

  1. What does the booth look like once it is wrapped, and what is the deadline for supplying artwork?
  2. What exactly do I receive after the event, in what format, and how long do you host it?
  3. Is the attendant included, and do you recommend a second one for this specific event?
  4. How many guests per hour does this booth move, and is that number published anywhere on your site?
  5. What is the travel charge to my venue, and is idle time billed separately?
  6. What happens if the camera or the printer fails at hour two?

Our answers, in order. The wrap is $250 and we need artwork ahead of the date. You receive the gallery, hosted three years, plus the capture list and the reporting if you added it at $75. The attendant is included and a second is $150. The booth moves 50 to 60 guests an hour and that figure is published on this site. Travel across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach is zero, and idle time counts toward booked hours rather than being billed on its own line. Every job carries a backup camera and a backup printer, and the crew is on site 60 minutes before doors.

What Motion charges, and the permanent install option

The Brand Activation Booth is $2,500 for four hours and moves 50 to 60 guests per hour. A full booth wrap is $250. A custom printed backdrop is $250. Data capture and reporting is $75. A second attendant is $150. An extra hour runs $150 to $250.

Those prices are published rather than gated behind a form, which at the corporate end of this market is unusual. Travel across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach is zero. Idle time counts toward your booked hours instead of appearing as a separate charge. An attendant is included on every booking, we carry $1M per occurrence liability with a certificate issued for your venue within 48 hours, and the work is backed by a written guarantee.

One note outside the rental model, since venue operators end up on this page too. Permanent unattended installs run through our sister company, Vertex Vending Group, at no cost to the venue. That is a different arrangement from an event activation and worth a separate conversation if you operate a space rather than run a campaign.

Send the venue, the date and the window and we will come back with a build sheet carrying the real numbers on it. Full pricing is published for every booth, and the brand activation page has the build detail your agency will want.

Common questions

How much does a branded photo booth activation cost in Miami?

Motion charges $2,500 for four hours on the Brand Activation Booth. A full wrap is $250, a custom printed backdrop is $250, data capture and reporting is $75, and a second attendant is $150. A fully built activation with all four lands at $3,225, with no travel fee across the tri county area.

What is the difference between a photo booth rental and a branded activation?

A rental is hardware that entertains a room. An activation is a build: the booth is wrapped, the output carries your marks and a link, the staffing covers a capture flow as well as a camera, and you receive a capture list and a report rather than just a gallery. Different job, different price.

How many guests can a brand activation booth handle?

50 to 60 guests per hour, which is 200 to 240 turns across the four hours included at $2,500. Those are turns, not unique people, because guests come back. If your metric is unique captured emails, expect it to land below the turn count, which is what the $75 data capture line is for.

How far in advance should we book an activation for Art Basel?

As early as you can. We do not charge a seasonal premium and there is no rush fee on our price list, so a late December request costs the same as a June one. What it costs you is availability, and Miami Art Week dates go first. Book the date, not the discount.

What data do we get back from a photo booth activation?

With data capture and reporting at $75, you get the opt in list with your specified fields and timestamps, session counts by hour, share and send counts, and confirmation of how consent was captured. Ask for it as files rather than a viewer. The gallery stays hosted for three years.

Can you wrap the booth in our branding?

Yes. A full booth wrap is $250 and a custom printed backdrop is another $250. The wrap makes the hardware read as part of the build rather than a rental parked beside it, which matters most at retail openings and outdoor Wynwood activations where foot traffic reads the booth before it reads any signage.

Do you do permanent photo booth installs for venues?

Yes, but not through this side of the business. Permanent unattended installs run through our sister company, Vertex Vending Group, at no cost to the venue. That is a different arrangement from an event activation, so if you operate a space rather than run a campaign, it is a separate conversation worth having.
